Obituary: Lura Dean (Smith) Tullis, 91, of Loganville

Lura Dean (Smith) Tullis, age 91 of Loganville, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Gwinnett Memorial Park. Dean was a Dacula native and a member of Praise Community Church (Lawrenceville Church of God). She was known fondly as “Mama Dean”. Dean was predeceased by her husband, Jack Tullis; grandson, Donnis Jack Tullis, Jr.; parents, Homer and Ezra (Attaway) Smith; brothers, Jerry Smith, Chubby Smith and Gene Smith. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Donnis and Joan Tullis of Lawrenceville, Brenda and Billy Dupree of Dacula, and Squeaky and Nancy Tullis of Loganville; sisters and brothers in law, Sylvia and Donald Hawkins of Loganville and Travis and William Nichols of Florida; brothers and sisters in law, Willie and Ruth Smith of Hiwassee and Ray and Elise Smith of Lawrenceville; 8 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; numerous family and friends.
