Margaret Elizabeth Ogletree, age 80 of Social Circle, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026. A Memorial Service was held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Harmony Baptist Church, 1310 Harmony Church Road, Monroe, with Pastor Billy Storms officiating. The family received friends 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM prior to the service.
Elizabeth was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises. Elizabeth loved her Lord and her family more than anything else.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Macon McCollister Ogletree, Jr. and Rosalyn Ogletree; brother, T.W. Ogletree; brother-in-law, Jack Hamilton; sister-in-law, Patsy Hudson Ogletree.
She is survived by her sister, Martha Hamilton of Covington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Macon Ogletree, III (Adrian) of Social Circle, Thomas Ogletree (Martha) of Jefferson, Louis Ogletree (Grace) of Foscoe, NC; nieces, Beth Stapp (Barry) of Covington and Sabrina Ervin (Tony) of Social Circle; great nieces, Autumn Jones (Josh) of Monroe, Ashley Morris (Logan) of Covington; several nieces and nephews; numerous family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Elizabeth’s memory to Harmony Baptist Church, 1310 Harmony Church Road, Monroe, GA 30655.
