Robert Donald Wing, age 56, of Loganville, GA, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019. Robert is survived by his wife, Susan Wing, and their two daughters Lindsay Wing Myers (George Myers) of Bainbridge, GA and Megan Wing Elwood (Henry Elwood) of Alpharetta, GA. Rob was the proud “Poppy” of grandsons, George (4) & Robert Myers (1). Rob is also survived by his loving parents Tom & Joy Moore of Savannah, GA and his five siblings and their families; Lisa Cribbs, James Moore Jr., Deborah Richardson, Derek Moore & Heather Galloway.
Rob was a native of Savannah, GA but lived most of his life in Loganville, GA with his family. Rob graduated from Georgia Southern University and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He worked for Quest Diagnostics for 22 years and in his spare time was an active member of St. Oliver’s Catholic Church, Fergus Lodge Mason, Scottish Rite Mason, York Rite Mason, Commandery and Loganville Shrine Club. He achieved high honors and recognition in KYCH & KCCH and was the Deputy Director of the Grand Chapter of Georgia.
Rob was a doting and loving husband, father, brother, friend, boss and volunteer. He was fiercely loyal and put the needs of others above his own. He will be sorely missed and is loved by so many.
The Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Robert “Rob” Wing was held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church, Snellville, GA. The family received friends on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.
