Robert Nelton Howard, Sr. age 88 of Loganville, GA., passed away Monday, July 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Howard; son, Robert Nelton Howard, Jr. (nickname Robby); parents, Nelton and Carrie Bell Howard; sister, Betty Sue Wheeler; niece, Kathy Howard; two nephews, Ernie Wheeler and Larry Wheeler; and in-laws, Eddie Wheeler, Georgia Howard, Ernest Brimer, and Byron Painter.
He is survived by his brothers, James Howard, Sr. and Dolan Hopper; sisters, Barbara Brimer, Ann Painter; nephews, James Howard, Jr. (Diane Andrews), Ricky Wheeler (Carla), Russell Painter (Evelyn) and Billy Howard; nieces, Joann W. Lewis (Ronald), Vickie B. Hammock (Rick), Tammy P. Cannon (William), Michelle B. Wright (Steve) and Kelli B. Radics (Ralph); as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Robert served in the Army before beginning his career with Coca Cola where after 40 years he retired. He was proud to be a Mason. Following his retirement he went to work for Bentley’s Automotive paint supplies selling auto paint. He enjoyed anything he could do with his hands and especially restoring Mustangs and clocks.
The funeral service to celebrate the life of Robert Howard was held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. Minister Harold Savage officiated the service. The entombment followed the service at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. The family received friends on Friday, August 2, 2024 prior to the service from 1:00 PM until the time of service 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
