Obituary: Roger Dale Hicks, Sr., of Monroe, 68

Roger Dale Hicks, Sr. of Monroe, age 68, passed away on September 7, 2017.

He was born in Jefferson, GA on March 24, 1949 to the late Bill Hicks and Irene Pressley Hicks. He proudly worked for and ultimately retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation .He was preceded in death by his brothers, the late James Hicks, and the late Gene Hicks.
Surviving are: Wife of 51 years, Nancy Dunagan Hicks of Monroe; Mother, Irene Pressley Hicks; Children, Roger Hicks Jr. and Kimberly Hicks, Angela Hegwood and Craig Hegwood; Grandchildren, Amanda and Ben Manion, Ryan and Maghen Hicks, Alex Hegwood and Maycee Allen, Joshua and Nikki Hegwood, Mandy and Michael Chappell; Great Grandchildren, Addison Manion, Jake Hegwood and Emily Hegwood, Andrew Chappell and Carter Chappell; Sister and Brother in Law, Pat and Douglas McDaniel; Brothers and Sisters in Law, George and Diane Hicks, Sandy and Sandra Hicks; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services were held on Sunday September 10th at 4:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with Rev. Buster Brown officiating. Interment followed at Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
