Obituary: Wayne Hamrick, of Monroe

Wayne Hamrick of Monroe, Georgia, passed into heaven, May 13, 2020, due to complications from diabetes. He was born in Chamblee, Georgia. He graduated from Cross Keys High School in 1970, attended Dekalb College, Tennessee Temple Bible School and Gwinnett Technical Institute. He was an ordained Baptist preacher and severed as a bi-vocational youth and assistant pastor. He was employed by Lanier Business Products and Milner Document Products, 1977-2008.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Willene Hamrick. He is survived by wife, Loretta Linzy Hamrick of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Ginny Hamrick of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Nicholas and Rebecca of Lawrenceville; son, Jacob Hamrick of Monroe and granddaughter, Rachel Mullins of Canton. He is also survived by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Janice Linzy of North East, MD; brothers-in-law, Ray Linzy, Jr. and John Linzy also of North East, MD; sister-in-law, Ruth Slone of Perryville, MD; nephews, Jared and Trent Slone of Perryville, MD; niece, Kimberly Anderson and daughters of Earleville, MD. He is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Psalms 116:15; Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
