Outdoors Without Limits is hosting an awareness event in the Engine Room

Outdoors Without Limits is an organization that provides opportunities for disabled persons to connect with the outdoors through curated hunting, fishing and outdoors events. Founder Thomas Kirk

“From folks in wheelchairs to Veterans with PTSD and every disability in between, this organization is dedicated to providing opportunities for those that want to participate in the great outdoors. We pair an able-bodied guide with a disabled person in each experience and in almost every situation are made possible through volunteer efforts,” OWL writes on his website. “Nationally and through community-based chapters across North America, OWL has the voice to speak on behalf of all disabled Outdoorsmen and Women.  OWL is uniquely positioned in the Outdoor Industry to work on behalf of Sportsmen and women, children, disabled/wounded U.S. Veterans and Senior Outdoorsmen.”

The organization is now bringing the information on its services to Walton County and is organizing an event to raise awareness in Walton County on Dec. 11, 2018, at the Engine Room in Monroe. Founder Kirk Thomas will be on hand to share his experiences and what it is that caused him to have such a passion for the mission of OWL.
