Conditions continue to deteriorate in the city. Trees are still falling and knocking out power lines. Georgia Power is not able to respond until daylight.
For this reason, Mayor (Hal) Dally has issued a curfew effective immediately until 7:00 am Tuesday.
This means NO ONE should be on the streets until 7:00 am.
Social Circle Parkway is still open. However, North Cherokee, South Cherokee and East Hightower will be closed at the Parkway to all traffic except local residents.
Barricades are being placed across streets which are blocked by trees and power lines.

Police, Fire and Public Works crews are working throughout the night to monitor the situation and provide emergency response.
Even Tuesday morning, the streets will still be dangerous due to power lines and downed trees. Therefore, residents are advised to stay at home if possible.
