Overnight fire in Walton County causes major damage to home

For the second night in a row, a house fire in Walton County caused major damage to a home. Walton County Fire rescue, along with Monroe Fire Department, responded to a house fire at 10:32 p.m. on Wednesday, May, 2, 2018, at 1130 Blasingame Road.
“Upon arrival by fire crews, there was heavy fire conditions on the exterior, the front den area, and into the attic of the home,” said Battalion Chief Craig League with WCFR. “The fire was quickly contained.”
League said that the house sustained major damage to the home and displaced an adult couple.
“They are staying with relatives or friends. The cause of the fire is under investigation, no foul play is suspected,” League said.
