Overnight fire, no injuries reported, investigation underway

WALTON – Walton County Fire Rescue along with assistance provided by Social Circle Fire Department, responded to a house fire at 407 Saint Regis Dr. off of Jersey-Covington Road in southwest Walton County overnight.

Upon the initial call to 911 at 1:36 a.m., there was already heavy fire involvement to the home. Upon arrival of the first personnel the house was fully engulfed in fire. The family who resided in the home were not at home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries reported, however there were several pets possibly unaccounted for.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.

Fire investigators will return to the scene later this afternoon to conduct a fire investigation .

Fire crews were on scene approximately four hours.
