Piedmont Walton Hospital will host its third annual Rock for Relay event on Friday, April 26 from 7 to 11 p.m. at The Engine Room in Monroe, Ga.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Relay for Life of Walton County, the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
“We look forward to hosting this upcoming event,” said Heather Boyce, community relations coordinator at Piedmont Walton, who helped to lead the coordination of this year’s event. “Relay for Life is committed to saving lives from cancer, and the donations that we provide help many around the world, as well as those close to home in our community.”
The Rock for Relay event will include hors d’oeuvres, drinks, a musical showcase from local bands and a silent auction. Bands include Steven and Travis from Heart of Pine Band, Legitimate Beef and Monkey Wrench.
The money raised through Relay for Life events helps support the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives, celebrate life, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
Donations are used to fund life-saving cancer research, patient support services, prevention and education information, and detection and treatment programs.
“We invite everyone in the community to join us for this fun event, as we raise money for an important cause,” said Boyce.
Tickets for Piedmont Walton’s Rock for Relay event are currently on sale for $15 for entrance to the show and $30 to include drinks. To purchase tickets email Boyce at Heather.Boyce@piedmont.org. Tickets will also be available for purchase at The Engine Room’s doors on April 26.
