
Monroe, Ga. (August 13, 2018) – Robert Sinyard, M.D., has been named chief medical officer (CMO) at Piedmont Walton Hospital, bringing with him more than 30 years’ experience in the healthcare industry.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Sinyard to Piedmont Walton. He is an excellent addition to this hospital’s leadership team,” said Larry Ebert, chief executive officer (CEO) of Piedmont Walton. “He will be instrumental in leading clinicians and our leadership team to execute on Piedmont’s commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care in the Walton County community.”
Dr. Sinyard joins the community from Piedmont Athens Regional in Athens, where he has been a part of the hospital’s leadership team for more than eight years. During his tenure in Athens, Dr. Sinyard served as an integral and influential leader for the medical staff. He plans to build upon this legacy at Piedmont Walton.
A cardiologist by trade, Dr. Sinyard spent the bulk of his career as a practicing physician in the Athens area, prior to his hospital leadership role. As CMO, Dr. Sinyard oversees doctors and clinical staff.
In addition to his CMO role at Piedmont Walton, Dr. Sinyard will continue in his role as CMO of Piedmont Athens Regional.
