Police seek help identifying hit and run driver from Snellville accident

SNELLVILLE, GA. On Saturday, Dec. 15, 2019, Ben Driggers, of Loganville, was involved in a wreck at 1610 Scenic Highway in Snellville next to Steak and Shake. The vehicle that hit into his vehicle fled the scene.

“He was wearing an army green uniform and he laughed when he hit us and then sped off,” Driggers said. Also in the car with Driggers was his girlfriend, who is 15 weeks pregnant, and his 11-month old son.

The accident happened at about 1:45 p.m. last Sunday and, according to Driggers, involved a small compact four-door or extended cab green truck. Driggers was driving a 2008 black Honda Accord.

Sgt. Scott Smith of the Snellville Police Department initially followed up on a couple of leads which unfortunately did not go anywhere. He is now asking if anyone was in the vicinity at the time of the accident, or has any information to share on the suspect in the hit and run, to please email him at ssmith@snellville.org. Case number 19-12-0240

Below are photographs of the damaged Honda Accord that Driggers was driving as well as photos of a similar type of vehicle to the one believed to be involved in the hit and run.
