Revolutionary Rumble fun event at Historic Courthouse in Monroe Saturday

The Revolutionary Rumble at the historic courthouse in Monroe from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 26, promises “activities, crafts and fun!” This is sponsored by the Matthew Talbot Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Brush up on your history and have fun doing so!

According to the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), it is “an organization with a profound history that remains highly relevant in today’s world. Since its founding in 1890, more than one million women have joined, driven by a desire to honor their heritage and make a meaningful impact in their communities, both nationwide and globally. Discover more about the DAR’s remarkable history and how its members continue to uphold and advance that legacy today.”

With America about to celebrate 250 years since its founding next year, this may be a good time to bring the family to get a little background on this organization that has been honoring America’s founding for the past 130 years.
