Rehab hospital is a joint venture between Encompass Health and Piedmont Healthcare
The grand opening celebration will begin at noon at the new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 2945 Loganville Highway in Loganville. The facility is expected to begin accepting patients in early June.
Presentation remarks during the ceremony will be delivered by Ronnie Wagley, Larry Ebert and Tom Morris. Community leaders and project partners are also expected to attend.
Eastside Rehabilitation Hospital is Encompass Health’s ninth hospital in Georgia and the eighth joint venture hospital between Encompass Health and Piedmont. The freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospital will provide care for patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions.
According to organizers, patients at the facility will receive at least three hours of intensive therapy five days a week, along with physician oversight and 24-hour nursing care designed to help patients regain independence and functionality.
The hospital includes 40 private patient rooms, a therapy gym equipped with advanced rehabilitation technology, an activities of daily living suite with simulated real-world spaces, an in-house dialysis suite, therapy courtyard, dining room, pharmacy and patient dayrooms.
