The Gwinnett Countty Sheriff’s Office announced that the search for Alec Davis, missing in Gwinnett County following a May 4, 2019 accident has ended with the location of his body. According to a post on Gwinett County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, deputies located a body believed to be Davis within two hours of a search they began this morning. Up until now, the Suwanee Police had been searching for him without any success.
“We had to share the heartbreaking news with his parents that he was deceased. There is no indication of foul play,” GCSO wrote on the Facebook page. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Alec’s family, who searched extensively for him and enlisted the help of anyone who was willing to do the same. They want everyone to know he was a special young man with a lot of promise and many people who loved him.”
GCSO said that Davis had left the scene of the accident on May 4 and no trace of him had been seen since then. GCSO activated the Rapid Response Team this morning with about two dozen staff members to search the heavily wooded area near where he was last seen and sadly located his body.
