Serial armed robber gets 40 years, 20 to serve in prison:

Lewis Bernarn Flagg, II, plead guilty in a Walton County courtroom to armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for a Social Circle armed robbery on July 4, 2013. He was sentenced in a Walton County courtroom Monday to 40 years, with the first 20 years to be served in prison.

According to the Walton County District Attorney’s Office, Flagg entered the Shell Food Mart on North Cherokee Road on Social Circle on that date, pointing a handgun at the store clerk and demanding money from the register. He then fled the store with the money. During Social Circle Police Departments investigation of the robbery, it was found that Flagg had committed similar robberies in several other counties. Since his arrest, he has plead guilty to charges in Fayette County, Cobb County, Douglas and now Walton County. Walton County DA’s office report that Flagg also has been convicted of Federal Charges relating to other armed robberies.

According to the Walton County DA’s Facebook page, the case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Cara Fiore and Chief Investigator Josh Chambers.
