WALTON COUNTY, GA (Nov. 9, 2025) Walton County Fire Rescue reports that a serious crash shut down both east and westbound lanes of Highway 78 at Nathan Boulevard for some time Saturday night due to a serious crash with multiple injuries.
“The total number of patients was three adults and one child,” said WCFR Deputy Chief Craig League. “Pediatric patient transported to Arthur Blank Hospital with serious injuries. One patient was transported to Piedmont Athens with critical injuries. The other two patients were transported to Piedmont Walton with moderate injuries.”
League said the crash was reportedly the result of a wrong way driver.
Georgia State Patrol worked the investigation. We will update with details from GSP when they are available.
