It is the third Sunday of the month and that means Brunch with the Real Chef J. Ponder is back at Southern Brewing in Monroe. The celebrity chef will be cooking from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. this Sunday, Feb. 21, in the Monroe taproom!
On the menu for this “Eatsipsocial,” is chicken and waffles, fish or shimp and grits, corn beef hash with eggs, jerk chicken tacos or a Rasta Pasta bowl. Your favorite brew will also be on tap!
Chef Ponder is a Monroe native who has gone on to make his name in the culinary world. He got his early training in the kitchen while serving in the Navy before going on to appear in cuisine television programs such as Chopped as well as Cutthroat Kitchen – which he won.
He has since expanded his brand with a private chef business hosting couples cooking classes and partnering with breweries such as his monthly Kegs and Eggs brunch Sip Eat Socials that he comes home to Southern Brewing Company in Monroe for every third Sunday.
