Southern Plantation changes hands; becomes the Retreat at Loganville

Press release from Phoenix Senior Living

On Aug. 1, 2019, Southern Plantation Senior Living was acquired by Phoenix Senior Living in a joint venture with White Oak. It is now named The Retreat at Loganville, one of the two latest PSL communities in Georgia. The other one acquired on Aug. 1 was Remington House, which now operates as The Retreat at Conyers.

According to a press release on the acquisition, the communities plan for a total of 339 independent living, assisted
living and memory care units located in Metro Atlanta.

“We are pleased to blend the high standards in place at these communities with our operational expertise and commitment to a purposeful life for every senior we serve,” said Jesse Marinko, a Georgia native and the Founder and CEO of Phoenix Senior Living. “We recognize that our team’s success is directly tied to partnering with organizations like White Oak REIT that share our commitment to offering senior living options focused primarily on the wellbeing of the residents, their families, and our teams. We are thrilled about the acquisition of these two communities.”

The change was announced at the TRIAD breakfast at the former senior living community of Southern Plantation on Aug. 2. The SALT TRIAD breakfast meetings hosted by the Southern Plantation are expected to continue with the Retreat at Loganville as they always have. The next one is planned for Sept. 4, 2019.
