Get a taste of Monroe cuisine, old favorites and some still to come. The Monroe Taste of Monroe will table place from 5 – 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, at McDaniel Tichenor House located at 319 McDaniel St. in Monroe. This is your opportunity to sample some of the eats and treats from your favorite eateries in Monroe and to see what’s still to come at some of the exciting new restaurants headed for Monroe, such as South on Broad, the Southern Brewing Company out of Athens, Silver Queen, South on Broad and LR Burger.

Monroe Junior Service League (MJSL) is hosting Taste of Monroe in order to raise funds to support its annual scholarships to students graduating from Monroe Area High School, Walnut Grove High School, and George Walton Academy as well as support other projects that benefit the community. These include Walton County Boys and Girls Club, Monroe and Walnut Grove Libraries, Downtown Monroe, FISH, and McDaniel-Tichenor House through time and resources throughout the year.
