The Cancer Crusher’s 5K Walk/Run in Monroe scheduled for April 1

As teams gear up for the April 28, 2017 Relay for Life in Walton County, events to raise money for cancer research are taking shape. The Cancer Crusher’s 5K in Monroe is planned for April 1. This event, also known as the Making Cancer History 5K, is to raise funds in the name of the Walton County Government Cancer Crushers Relay for Life Team.

The run begins and ends at the Nowell Recreation Center, 201 West Spring St., Monroe. Check in is at 8 a.m. and the run starts at 9 a.m. The cost is $25 for all ages. Medals will be given for the male and female and male top finishers in all age groups with an award for the overall male as well as female top finishers.
