“Monroe resident, The Most Reverend Doctor Foley Beach, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the South and Archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America, was recently elected Chairman of the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON). Beach served as Rector of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Monroe until he resigned in 2004 and started Holy Cross Anglican Church in Loganville.”

The GAFCON movement, which began in 2008, is a global family of authentic Anglicans standing together to retain and restore the Bible to the heart of the Anglican Communion. GAFCON just completed its third world meeting in Jerusalem this past week. Beach was a speaker at Walton County’s Bicentennial Faith Service in Monroe earlier this month.

Below is a 4-minute video of an interview with the Archbishop following his election along with and the new General Secretary of GAFCON.
