Thompson Family Farms in Monroe close

“We are shutting our doors for good. Thank you for your support over the years! Hope you all continue to grow what you can and feed your family, friends and neighbors!”

The only reason given was that it was personal. Many expressed dismay that the family owned farm and fruit stand that has been located on almost 200 acres off Highway 11 just outside Monroe would no longer be there. People have been getting fresh fruits and vegetables from the Thompson Family Farms
