Thursday, Sept. 6, Monroe comes Alive after Five

Sidewalk Sale begins Thursday and runs through Saturday

The community is invited to join in an evening of shopping and dining at your favorite downtown business the first Thursday of each month April through October and this Thursday is September’s  Alive After 5 night. It gives locals the opportunity to support local businesses after regular shopping hours. There are other activities to support, such as “open mic night at The Cotton Cafe, Trivia Night at Amici, or dinner at Butcher Block,  Kaity’s Downtown or Little Italy.” The Monroe Museum and the Arts Center will be open the showcasing the latest exhibit. This month, Funky Bluester, Blind Mercy and Stuever Studios will be providing live music. Receive a FREE Alive After 5 shopping bag when you visit the Art Center!

There also will be a downtown sidewalk sale beginning on Sept. 6 through Sept. 8. There will be deals on summer clearance items as well as new merchandise. On Friday, the First Friday Summer Concerts will close out with the Swingin Medallions.
