Meridian Center is an alternative rain location
The West Walton Baseball/Softball Booster Club is hosting another movie night this Friday, and it will double as a Trick or Treat event prior to the start of the movie for children up to the age of 13. The movie that will be shown is Remember the Titans starring Denzel Washington. Trick or Treat begins at 6:30 and the movie will begin at 8 p.m. All you need for entry is one canned goods product for the local food bank.
“This time, we’re calling it the fall Boo-Nanza and we’re also having trick-or-treat prior to the movie,” said Melissa Cape, vice president of West Walton Baseball/Softball Booster Club. “This event takes place on Friday night at West Walton Park. There is a contingency plan for rain…..if the clouds decide to open (or saturate the entire day), we’ll be moving the entire event into the center at Meridian Park via the green gym and classrooms.”
Cape said if the location has to be moved to Meridian Center due to the weather, and the rain holds off long enough, trick or treat will take place around the lake at Meridian Park.
