Two arrested after WCSO chase and pit maneuver on campus of Loganville area middle school

Two men were arrested in Walton County Monday, July 29, 2019, after a high-speed chase down Highway 81 north and into Youth Middle School near Walnut Grove ended with a pit maneuver. Walton County Sheriff’s Office shared the information on the Facebook Page and provided a video of the incident. (The video has been edited for length)

WCSO report that the pursuit began when the driver of a vehicle failed to comply when a deputy attempted to stop it on Hwy 81 North. Speeds of 90 mph were reportedly recorded during the chase before the vehicle slowed down when it turned into Youth Middle School.

“Our Deputy noticed there were students and faculty practicing there so he performed a pit maneuver on the truck to ensure that it stopped before endangering any students and faculty,” WCSO reported.
