Undisclosed amount of money taken in alleged Loganville restaurant armed robbery

The Loganville Police Department had officers respond to a report of an armed robbery at the Hong Kong Buffet at 4555 Atlanta Highway just after 9:24 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2019.

“The suspects reportedly entered the restaurant and, as they were taking money from the register, an employee attempted to fight back and was allegedly struck in the face with a gun. One of the suspects then threatened to kill her,” said Robbie Schwartz, spokesman for the City of Loganville.

Schwartz said the victims were unable to give a description of the assailants other than it was two black males in black clothing.

“The robbers fled out of the back door and into a black passenger vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money,” Schwartz said.

Walton County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the response.
