Juneteenth Celebration
Join us as we celebrate Juneteenth during a family fun-filled day! Gwinnett Community Outreach, Gwinnett Parks and Recreation, and the United Ebony Society of Gwinnett County Inc. are sponsoring this event on June 22 at Rhodes Jordan Park.
Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. Today, it is a time to celebrate African-American freedom and achievement while encouraging continuous self-development and respect for all cultures.
The free event will feature storytelling, performances, historical presentations, dancing, vendors, bounce houses, games, and food trucks. The celebration runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Rhodes Jordan Park is located at 100 East Crogan Street, Lawrenceville.
