Update: 22-year-old Monroe man dies in early morning motorcycle crash

Loganville, Georgia)  Gwinnett County Police Department has identified the motorcycle driver who died in a morning crash on State Route 10 (Highway 78) and Rosebud Road in unincorporated Loganville Thursday morning. Bailey Hill, 22, of Monroe did not survive the wreck.

According to GCPD, the incident was called into the 911 Center at around 8:30 a.m. Hill was traveling eastbound on State Route 10 on a red 2007 motorcycle.  The driver of a blue GMC Acadia was traveling northbound on Rosebud Road.

According to the preliminary investigation, it appears as though Hill ran a red light and collided with the SUV.  He was ejected from the motorcycle and subsequently died at a local hospital.  After the impact, the driver of the SUV veered off the roadway and ran over a sign. Both vehicles were impounded to Gwinnett County Police Headquarters for investigation purposes. Next of kin have been notified.

Update

Gwinnett County Police Department reports that the victim in the motorcycle vs SUV accident on Highway 78 at Rosebud Road this morning did not survive the injuries. Information will be updated once it is available from GCPD.

Gwinnett County Police Department reported at 10:45 a.m. that Highway 78 at Rosebud Road and Langley Drive has been reopened. Details of the accident will follow once they are made available by GCPD.

Initial Story

Gwinnett County Police Department is working a serious accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Highway 78 in the Loganville area of the county. The accident reportedly happened at Rosebud Road and Highway 78.

On Thursday morning, Aug. 8, 2019, the road was shut down in both directions at Langley Drive. A detour has been established. Avoid the area. GCPD report that one person has been transported with significant injuries.
