A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the May shooting death of Nicolai Manget, 20, of Loganville. Gwinnett County Police Department announced that Richie Milord, 28, of Duluth is accused of shooting both Manget and Matthew-Evan Graham, 17, of Duluth, on May 4, 2019. Manget died of his injuries on May 5.
Milord was arrested during a traffic stop on Friday, July 12 by a deputy at the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office He was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail at around 4:45 p.m. and is charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, and two counts of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony. Graham and Manget were together on the night of the homicide when both were shot by Milord. Graham was shot in the shoulder area and transported to the hospital immediately following the shooting for treatment and then discharged from the hospital. Manget died of his injuries.
According to a press release from GCPD, while detectives were reviewing evidence during the initial homicide crime scene, they located a set of keys to a white Mercedes passenger vehicle and found it to be listed as stolen. They were called back to the same building as the homicide occurred on a “discharging firearms” call four days later and found an apartment with several bullet holes. Nobody was home, but the resident of the apartment turned out to be Milford. Warrants were subsequently issued for Graham for theft by receiving stolen property with regard to the white mercedes. He lives in the same apartment from where the vehicle was stolen. He was arrested on May 13 during a traffic stop for theft by receiving. Warrants were issued for Milford for the shootings.
Officials say it is possible that this crime is gang-related. Graham and Milford are currently being held at the Gwinnett County Jail with no bond. Both are also facing additional charges on unrelated cases.

According to a press release from Gwinnett County Police Department, at about 11:15 p.m. on Saturday evening, officers assigned to the Central Precinct were dispatched to a report of a person shot at the Prescott Apartments at 1655 Centerview Drive, Duluth after witnesses called 911 to report hearing gunshots and someone screaming. Officers arrived to find two male victims separate from each other in the wood line behind the property. Both were reportedly alive, but both had been shot – one in the shoulder and the other in the chest. They were transported to the hospital by EMS but Magnet did not survive his injuries.
Detectives and CSI were called to the scene to investigate and one of the victims reportedly told investigators that while walking around the apartment community they were confronted by a “dark shadowy figure” and ultimately shot.
