Update: Walton County Sheriff’s Office has identified the four men arrested in Walton County overnight Aug. 7, 2018, in a pill processing operation. All four are 20 years old. They are currently being held in the Walton County Detention Center on the charge of possession/manufacture of controlled substance. Warrants are to be taken.

Initial Story:

Good Hope, Ga. Walton County Sheriff Joe Chapman confirmed that a pill processing operation was intercepted overnight as the suspects were attempting to move the operation to Walton County.

Maj. Damien Mercer said four individuals were arrested after deputies from Walton County Sheriff’s Office investigated what they considered suspicious vehicles on the side of the road on Jacks Creek in Good Hope.

Tuesday morning Jacks Creek Road between Bethel Church and Old Good Hope Road were closed due to the investigation. Drug Enforcement’s Clandestine Lab officials were being brought in to investigate. Officials confirm there is no threat to local residents.

“We have four suspects in custody. They are not from Walton County,” Mercer said. “It was a U-Haul rental pick-up truck pulling a rental U-Haul trailer. It was basically a rolling pill pressing operation that they were attempting to move to Walton County. They had all the chemicals in the truck.”
