Update: Gwinnett PD seek info after female skull identified and suspect arrested


(Buford, Ga., September 27, 2021) – Greenville Police Department in South Carolina  have arrested Michael Wilkerson,42, of Greenville, SC in the connection with Brittany Davis, 32, also of Greenville, SC. Wilkerson was living in Lawrenceville, Ga at the time of his arrest and has been extradited to Greenville, SC.

A skull was located by Gwinnett Police in April of 2021 and turned over to the Gwinnett Medical Examiner’s Office. Gwinnett Police detectives assisted Greenville Police in positively identifying the remains as those of Brittany Davis a few months later through the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division. Davis had been living in Greenville and was reported missing to Greenville PD in March 2020 by her family. 

The motive is still unknown and detectives are urging anyone that may have information to contact Greenville Police Department.

Initial story

(Buford, Ga., May 6, 2021) – Gwinnett Police are asking the public for helping in identifying a victim whose skull was located around the 2700 block of Hamilton Mill Rd on April 11, 2021. The skull is believed to be that of a female of caucasian or mixed-race descent between the ages of 20 – 30 years.

According to a press release, officers arrived on the scene after being dispatched to a call for service. They located in close proximity behind the woods a human skull. A forensic examination determined its likely biological identity.
