Update: Man who had heart attack at fuel pumps in Loganville breathing on his own


After being transported to Piedmont Walton while undergoing CPR after suffering a cardiac arrest in Loganville Friday morning, officials report the 72-year-old man now has a pulse and is breathing on his own. No other information is available at this time and his name has not been given.

An elderly man has been transported to Piedmont Walton after going into cardiac arrest at the fuel pumps at the Kroger in Loganville.

Loganville spokesman Robbie Schwartz said Loganville Fire Department personnel were called out to a medical emergency at Kroger Friday morning.

“When they arrived, CPR was already being performed by a Loganville Police officer on a 72-year-old man who reportedly went into cardiac arrest at the fuel pumps at Kroger,” Schwartz said. “LFD personnel continued CPR until an ambulance arrived and took the elderly man to Piedmont Walton.”
