Update: Monroe July 4th Celebration postponed

The City of Monroe announced that in the light of Gov. Kemp’s latest executive order, and respect to citizens “for whom we share a responsibility to protect,” the City of Monroe will postpone the fireworks display that was scheduled for this July 4th.

Officials will announce a makeup date, hopefully in September. That will be announced later.

“During this time, we ask that you continue to enjoy yourselves and celebrate our Country, but continue to honor social distancing and other safekeeping protocols in doing so,” officials with the City of Monroe announced on its Facebook page.
