Sergio Moon, 30, wanted in connection with the murder of a 68-year-old great grandmother has been captured, according to Monroe Police Department. He was taken into custody at about 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018, with the help of the U.S. Marshal Service, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office and Walton County Sheriff’s Office. He was located inside a home off Oakbrook Parkway in Norcross. He is currently in custody in Walton County charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Monroe Police are asking the public for information on the location of a suspect in the Wednesday murder of a 68-year-old Monroe woman. According to a press release from Monroe Public Safety Director Keith Glass, an armed robbery was reported at about 2:42 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, at apartment No. 4 at 134 West Marable Street. Police arrived to find Linda O. Flint on the floor bleeding profusely. She was transported to Piedmont Walton Hospital where she subsequently died.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has processed the scene and Monroe Police Department is working with the DA’s office in this investigation, which has led to murder warrants being obtained for a suspect, Sergio R. Moon, 30.
Sergio is described as being a black male, about 5 ft 11, weighing about 150 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him. Call 911 and report his location to law enforcement.
