Barrow County, GA -Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will put in place a traffic shift on State Route 53 to facilitate continued work on the future compressed diamond interchange project at US 29/State Route 316 in Barrow County. The traffic shift will allow for construction of the permanent tie ins for future ramps of the interchange. The overall project is expected to be complete June 2022.
WHEN: Due to weather, the traffic shift on State Route 53 is rescheduled for February 25. These traffic shifts will be temporary as others will occur as the project is completed. Motorists will experience delays traveling through the project.
WHERE: State Route 53 at US 29/State Route 316, approximately 4.75 miles southeast of downtown Winder.
