Update – June 25, 2018
The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office reported that this victim was positively identified as Victor Clark, 57, of Fayetteville, NC. The suspect, Anthony Woschula, was subsequently charged charged with murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, concealing the death of another, and tampering with evidence. He is currently being held at the Barrow County Detention Center without bond.
Barrow County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement in relation to the body found in a trunk in Bethlehem on Wednesday.
On June 20th, 2018 at approximately 0735 hours the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to a missing person call at 311 Chimney Trace Drive in Winder. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Anthony Woschula, 34, of Winder, who then fled on foot because of possible drug charges and was apprehended with the assistance of a K-9. Upon speaking with the complainant in reference to the missing person call, it was determined Woschula knew the location and may have caused the death of the missing person.
Deputies were informed the missing person was in the trunk of a vehicle and it was located at Whitley Road and Kilcrease Road in Gwinnett County. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed the vehicle, a gold Toyota Camry, was there and it was determined there was a body in the trunk. Woschula is currently the suspect in the death of the missing person and the investigation is ongoing. The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
Gwinnett County Police Department report that venue for the crime has been established as being in Barrow County. The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office will be taking over the investigation. Gwinnett County PD will remain on scene to assist for a little bit longer, but BCSO will be in charge of the case. Any updated press release will come from BCSO
