VFW Post 4421 to Host UGA Watch Party in Monroe Sept. 19

On May 16, 2026, dozens of veterans, civic leaders, family members and community members gathered at 1712 Snows Mill Road in Monroe to celebrate the grand opening of the new VFW Post 4421 in Walton County. The opening marked the realization of a dream, a plan and a commitment that ultimately became a brick-and-mortar home, not only for local veterans, but also for the community surrounding them.

Designed with accessibility in mind, the new building provides improved accommodations for individuals with disabilities, as well as expanded space for meetings, events and family gatherings.

One such gathering is planned for next weekend as the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs begin SEC play on the road against the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 3 of the college football season.

VFW Post 4421 will host a UGA Watch Party on Saturday, Sept. 19, beginning at noon. The event is open to veterans and their families, as well as other members of the community who want to join in for an afternoon of good people and great football while supporting local veterans.
