The victim and his girlfriend were arrested Friday in connection with a stabbing incident on Ronthor Drive in Social Circle that happened on Tuesday, June 6, 2016.
According to Social Circle Police Chief Tyrone Oliver, the victim, Anthony Lewis Heard, 54, initially told police that he was stabbed at the BP gas station on Highway 11 just outside Social Circle.
“But when we went there we didn’t find any evidence of him being there or the person who he described as being the assailant,” Oliver said. “We subsequently went to Ronthor Drive and caught the actual incident taking place in front of the house.”
Oliver said Heard was arrested and charged with giving a false statement and his live-in girlfriend, Trisha Elizabeth James, 38, was charged with aggravated assault and giving a false statement. Both were arrested and transported to Walton County Detention Center on Friday afternoon. Oliver said the stabbing was captured on the surveillance camera of a business in the area.
