Walton County BOC has groundbreaking for county’s first splash pad

The Walton County Board of Commissioners had a groundbreaking Thursday for a new park in Between that will feature the county’s first splash pad. The groundbreaking took place at 9 a.m. Dec. 19, 2019, at the property across the road from the DMV and Walton County Fire Rescue Station off Highway 78. The splash pad is the first phase of the park. Walton County BOC Chairman Kevin Little said an adaptive field will be considered for the second phase of development of the park.

Little said they hope Walton County residents will be able to enjoy the splash pad by May or June of 2020. He said the location in Between is central enough to serve all residents of Walton County.
