Each week during football season, Georgia Farm Bureau in Monroe is offering a game ball to the Walnut Grove High School football Warrior as chosen by the coaches. P.J. Shippey of Georgia Farm Bureau said this week’s game ball was presented to Luke Moorhead.
According to Shippey, the coaches said Luke had 10 carries for 84 yards and two Touchdowns, 13 total tackles, seven solos and five assists and one tackle for a loss.
Walnut Grove Varsity Warriors beat Morgan County 34-31 in the game. They have a home non-conference game against Monroe Area on Friday, Sept. 7. Kick off is at 7:30 p.m.
