The Walton County Chamber of Commerce had announce that it is now a State of Georgia FLEX Community.
“Thank you to The Walton Foundation, Loganville Rotary Club and Monroe Kiwanis for sponsoring this program and allowing our students this opportunity,” Walton County Chamber wrote in the announcement. “We know that Walton County is full of talented, creative young people, and we need your help finding them!”
The Chamber is supporting FLEX which is an entrepreneurial competition for Walton County high school students in grades 9–12 that gives students the opportunity to take an idea and turn it into a real business, make real money, and build their résumé along the way. Students will be given the opportunity to connect with local business leaders, gain hands-on entrepreneurial experience, and develop skills that will benefit them in college, the workforce, and beyond.
The Chamber is encouraging the community to help identify and support Walton County’s next generation of entrepreneurs.
The Chamber is asking you to think about the high school students you know – your children or grandchildren; your employees’ children; a student who works for your business; a young person at your church, in your neighborhood, or someone you’ve met who just has that entrepreneurial spark.
