Walton-Monroe Art Center Gifts from the HeART prepares gift shop for holiday season

Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts 
Gifts from the HeART opens!!Artists and Makers are installing their booths now – most will be ready by Saturday 10/31!  Official open date is Thursday Nov 5.

Everyone’s favorite gallery becomes a shopping destination for one-of-a-kind, artsy, thoughtful gifts created by our local artists! 50+ artists represented – you’ll find something special here.

Pottery, paintings, photography, glass art, jewelry, decor, toys, candles, soap, cards and so much more! All created for you by our members – support local artists and makers!

We already have a few of our annual limited-edition Monroe Christmas Ornaments ready for you – an original drawing by Sandy Blanchard of the historic courthouse cast in pottery by Rebecca Braswell. Gorgeous!

You are welcome to come by anytime and browse our shop – you don’t have to wait until Saturday!

Shop here at MWCA from 11 am – 8 pm on Thursdays in November and December – kicks off Thursday Nov 5 with the official opening of our Christmas Gift Shop!  Join us for hot apple cider and a relaxing shopping experience.
Other shops downtown will be open late, too!

Join us for special refreshments, music AND … each purchase of $25 or more enters you in a drawing for a $50 gift card for MWCA – can be used for classes or in the shop!! A festive and fun event for all!

Fall Fest this Saturday!Monroe Fall Fest : City-wide events – October 31 from 9 am – 3 pm

Here at MWCA from 11 am – 4 pm on Oct 31: pop up shops | pottery sale | drop-in pottery workshop (monster planter) for all ages and more! Drop In for lots of fun! 

Pottery Monster Workshop –
held on the hour.  Noon, 1 pm, 2, pm, 3, pm and 4 pm.  Drop in on the hour for a spot – first come/first served.
Make a cute monster planter – will be fired and ready in two weeks.
$25 per monster.
All ages!  (Kids with a parent’s help) 

Volunteers needed to serve as hosts/gallery guides. Email Hope if you can help for a couple of hours – thank you!

Introduction to landscape painting with Joe Gargasz: 
Tuesdays at 6:30 – 8 pm for five weeks: 11/10, 11/17, 11/24, 12/1, 12/8

November 7 We are finally holding a Saturday Soiree – the first one since March — yippee!! 
Three workshops: pottery angel ornaments – make two/keep one – the extra one you make is donated to us to sell to raise funds for our Art MD kits — $15 to make two — drop in between 11 – 4woodturning (more info soon!) beaded bracelets — more info HERE – please  email Julie in advance for a spot from 10 am – 4 pm plus it’s Paint and Pizza Party Saturday, too!
