Walton County Fire Rescue were able to quickly extinguish a house fire on Monday morning at 190 Old Hwy 81 outside of Walnut Grove, according to WCFR Battalion Chief David Jarrett.
The home was a double wide trailer that was unoccupied at the time and appears to be under remodel. Officials report that no individuals were displaced.
“An off-duty WCFR firefighter going home from his shift noticed smoke coming from an unoccupied double wide at 190 Old Hwy 81 and called it in,” said Capt. Jeff Allen with WCFR. “On-duty crews quickly responded and extinguished the fire.”
