WCSO Alerts: Arrests, speeding motorists and damage to property complaints

Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Alerts for Wednesday and Thursday April 12 – 13, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Wednesday, April 12, 2017

ZONE 1

Arrest- Dominique Smith was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and H D Atha Road for Driving Under the Influence and Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a traffic stop.

ZONE 2

Nothing Reported.

ZONE 3

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Labbon Road in reference to an unknown individual kicking in complainant’s door. Nothing appeared to be missing from the residence.

Arrest- Michael Duggan was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Highway 53 for an outstanding bench warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 4

Arrest- Rodney Jones was arrested by Georgia State Patrol in the area of Highway 83 for an outstanding Parole Violation warrant out of Walton County.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Skylar Summerour was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Alton Green Road for Possession of Schedule II Drugs, Possession of Schedule IV Drugs and Possession of Prescriptions Drugs Not in Original Container following a traffic stop.

Arrest- Brittany Huff was arrested in the area of Highway 11 for Possession of Controlled Substance, Driving Under the Influence, Seat Belt Violation, No Proof of Insurance and Failure to Maintain Lane following a traffic stop.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of New Hope Church Road, Troy Smith Road and Lee Peters Road in reference to an ongoing issue with speeding vehicles in the day time hours.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Timmy Moore was arrested in the area of Highway 20 and McCullers Road for an outstanding Child Support warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a business on Highway 20 in reference to an unknown individual causing damage to complainants vehicle while they were inside the business.

ZONE 7

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Monticello Drive at Jefferson Plantation Subdivision in reference to an ongoing issue with speeding vehicles.

Arrest­- Gabriel Sanders was arrested in the area of Leone Avenue for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Monroe Police Department following a suspicious person call.

Arrest- Dakota Elder was arrested in the area of Highway 138 for an outstanding warrant out of Cobb County following a suspicious vehicle call.

Thursday, April 13, 2017

ZONE 1

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 81 and Old Highway 81. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.

Arrest- Richard Dyals was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and H D Atha Road for Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Schedule II Drugs and Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 138 and Youth Jersey Road. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

ZONE 5

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 11. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Oakridge Avenue in reference to an unknown motorist reported to be taking pictures in the area. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone. Everything appeared to be okay.

ZONE 6

Identity Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Poniter Road in reference to an unknown individual using complainant’s bank information to make purchases.

Fraud- Deputies took a report at a residence on Mary Lane in reference to complainant received a fraudulent check for items that were sold to another individual.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Highway 20 and Creekwood Drive. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
