Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Monday, April 13 – Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Arrest- A 36-year-old Buckhead man was arrested in the area of Hawkins Academy Road for a Probation Violation and Criminal Trespass after being found on location without permission.
Damage to Property- Deputies responded to a residence on Castlewood Drive in reference to complainant reporting hearing a gunshot and then hearing an object travel through the complainant’s residence around 3:00 a.m. Deputies observed what appeared to be a bullet that entered the residence through a window causing damage to the inside of the complainants residence. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are investigating the incident.

Citation- Two individuals were issued warning citations in the area of Liberty Hill Church Road for Criminal Trespass following being found fishing on location without permission. The pond is located on private property.
Citation- One individual was cited in the area of Simmons Road for Obstruction following a single vehicle accident where the motorist fled on foot. Deputies located the motorist and they were issued several additional citations by Georgia State Patrol who worked the scene of the accident. No known injuries were reported.
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Stewart Road in reference to an ongoing issue with motorist speeding in the area throughout the day and evening hours.
