The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Alerts for Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Scam- Deputies took a report at a residence on Amber Hills Way in reference to an unknown caller claiming to be with the grand jury advising complainant if they didn’t pay a specific amount of money charges were going to be added.
Arrest- Loren Owens was arrested at a residence in the area of East Tall Oaks Drive for outstanding warrants out of Walton County for Battery and Cruelty to Children.
Burglary- Deputies took a report at a business on Pannell Road in reference to an unknown individual taking money from the business. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene of the incident.
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of James Huff Road in reference to commercial vehicles violating the no truck route.
Scam- Deputies took a report at a residence on Yorktown Drive in reference to an unknown individual scamming complainant out of money by remotely accessing their computer.
Trespassing- Deputies responded to a business in the area of Flat Creek Business Park in reference to several individuals rummaging through items on location. Deputies made contact with the individuals and advised them to leave the location.
Suspicous Person- Deputies responded to the area of Bold Springs Road in reference to an unknown individual walking down the road. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.
Arrest- Haley Pinson was arrested in the area of Bullock Trail for an outstanding warrant out of Walton County for Failure to Appear following a dispute.
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a business in the area of Highway 81 in reference to an unknown individual damaging the businesses sign.
Arrest- William McCleskey was arrested at a residence on Tom Brewer Road for an outstanding warrant out of Oconee County following a dispute.
Theft- Deputies took a report in the area of Centerhill Church Road and Waterport Drive in reference to an unknown individual taking equipment from location.
