WCSO Alerts: Burglary, theft, fraud and juveniles attempting to enter vehicles

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, to Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019

Zone 1

Arrest- Christopher Jones, 42, of Monroe, Ga. was arrested at a residence on Thompson Ridge Drive for Fraud Warrant out of Gwinnett County.

Zone 5

Burglary Report- Deputy took a report at a residence on New Hope Church Road in reference to complainant advising side door of location was forced open and a TV was taken sometime between Friday, August 30th and September 3rd by possible known subject. Walton County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene responded and Walton County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigating Office investigating the incident.

Theft Report- Deputy took a report at a residence on Bur Oak Circle in reference to complainant advising an unknown individual took money from the complainant.

Extra Patrol- Deputy took a report at a location on Sterling Oaks Subdivision in reference to complainant advising unknown individuals parking in the subdivision between 10 and 12 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019

Zone 2

Trespassing- Deputy took a report at Shire Pharmaceuticals on Shire Parkway in reference to complainant advising two unknown individuals came onto property thru wood line behind location.

Zone 3

Citations- Several subjects were issued traffic citations for Possession of Marijuana less than one ounce and Possession of Alcohol. Subjects were given citations and Deputy took possession of Marijuana and Alcohol following a felony traffic stop in the area of Snows Mill Road and Bethany Church Road.

Zone 4

Arrest- James Snipes, 66 of Athens, Ga. was arrested in the area of Ike Stone Road and Beagle Run for Possession of methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Related Objects following a traffic stop.

Zone 6

Extra Patrol­- Deputy took a complaint at a residence on Black Fox Drive in reference to complainant stating juveniles attempting to enter vehicles on location.
