WCSO Alerts: Deputies assist Social Circle police in search after missing juvenile report

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.


Agency Assist- Deputies responded to the area of North Cherokee Road in reference to assisting Social Circle Police Department with a possible attempted abduction. (Update – Social Circle Police Chief reports that it appears that the juvenile went into the woods on her own due to a fear of possible discipline for an earlier issue).


Arrest- Bobby Sanders was arrested in the area of Bold Springs Road and Quail Creek Road for an outstanding warrant out of Barrow County following a traffic stop.

Identity Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Piney Grove Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual made several unauthorized withdrawals from their bank account. Complainant advised withdrawals were made in another state, and their bank advised the withdrawals came from a virtual teller machine.


Arrest- Maria Guandique was arrested in the area of Claude Brewer Road at the Shell Gas Station for Driving Under the Influence, Endangering a Child, and Driving in Violation of D.U.I. Permit following a suspicious vehicle/person call.


Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Giles Road in reference to complainant reporting they had an ongoing issue with an unknown motorist trespassing on their property and cutting ruts in their grass. Incident happened on this date sometime around 1:00am.
